When you live in a world where time is money, you’re either in a hurry or gone. Say you want to buy a gift for your best friend, you come into a store, you look for something special, then you look for something a bit interesting and you end up on buying something that’s just nice and hurry back home. Does this make you a bad person? No, it makes you either busy, in a hurry or not patient.
The thing is that we take this wave of anxiousness so deep into our lives until we realize we can’t wait for certain things to happen. When we’re young we wanna grow up, when we’re single we can’t wait to be committed, and for the ladies, ever since we’re little girls, we can’t wait to buy our wedding dress. And we take things further by doing as many things as possible to hurry the events we can’t wait to happen. We never wait to grow taller, we never wait for our hair to grow, and we’re never patient when it comes to learning how to dance or play an instrument.
We skip our classes, we finish school, we get a job, we plan our life, we never wait, we’re always rushing things. We’re never patient.
We never do the thing we like because they take time, and we never have the time to think about what we want. Always anxious, always chasing for the life we never have the time to live.
So take ten minutes every day to think about what you lack and what you long for. For ten minutes may be all you need to discover the world you never had the patience to meet. Close your eyes and give yourself the ten minutes that can improve your vision of life.
Don’t run. Walk.
Don’t hurry. Wait.
Don’t get furious. Think before you speak.
Take your time to make it count.
Good things come to those who wait.
